It was 2 PM on April 26, and my editor’s texts were blowing up my phone. “Where’s the Lu Yi exclusive? The clock’s ticking—our competitors are already posting!”
That morning, I’d scored a private clip from Lu Yi’s team: him filming the response video about his purple lips, plus a short off-the-record interview about his hospital checkup with his wife. I’d zipped the files and set a password, confident I’d remember it… until now. Every combination I tried—my dog’s birthday, Lu Yi’s debut year, even the number of his kids—did nothing but bring up that frustrating “wrong password” message.
